Ascentia Digital collapsed weekly client reporting from 4 hours to 15 minutes.
A digital agency automated their entire client reporting workflow. AI-generated narrative summaries, one-click personalization, sent every Monday at 9am without the account team touching a spreadsheet.
The problem
Every Friday, three account managers each spent 4 hours building client reports. They pulled data from ad platforms, pasted numbers into templates, wrote narrative summaries, screenshotted charts, formatted PDFs, then scheduled Monday morning sends. The work was mechanical, error-prone, and every AM hated it. Reports slipped. Some clients got them Wednesday instead of Monday. A few got the wrong logo.
Tomislav had tried hiring a junior dedicated to reporting. They quit after 90 days citing boredom.
“The narrative is what sold the clients. Data's available everywhere. Analysis is what they pay us for — and now the analysis scales.”— Tomislav G., CEO
What we built
A reporting engine that runs Friday evening. It pulls performance data from each client's connected ad platforms, analytics, and CRM. It generates a client-specific narrative in Ascentia's voice — not generic "conversions are up 12%" filler, but context like "the pivot to carousel creative we tested last week is driving the 18% CPA drop."
The account manager opens the report on Monday morning, reads the AI's analysis, tweaks one or two sentences if anything needs human judgment, and hits approve. It ships to the client with the right logo, the right client name, the right tone — automatically.
The result
Three account managers got 12 hours a week back collectively. Reports ship Monday at 9am — every week, without exception, for 12 weekly clients. The AMs spend their reclaimed time on strategy calls and creative briefs. The team decided not to replace the junior.
Client retention, measured a year after launch, is up 14% — partly because clients are getting substantive weekly insights instead of template-and-paste numbers.
The outcomes, in bullets
- 4h → 15min per weekly client report
- 12 client reports shipped Monday 9am, every week
- Three AMs reclaimed 12 hours/week collectively
- +14% client retention year-over-year after launch
